Job summary

FUCHS is seeking a Logistics and Distribution Director in Harvey, IL to lead the strategy for global logistics and distribution programs, aiming to improve service levels while reducing costs. You will oversee warehouse operations, manage key partnerships, and drive technology-enabled efficiency to support our Fuchs2025 vision.

The role requires a strong track record in senior logistics leadership, excellent negotiation and relationship skills, and the ability to align supply chain initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain or Business.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in logistics/distribution.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong knowledge of logistics and distribution / supply chain.
• Proven track record in leading senior level strategic initiatives.
• Effective communicator with strong relationship building skills at all levels in the organization.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute strategy for Fuchs Corp logistics and distribution programs to drive service improvements and optimize cost.
• Lead warehouse teams and drive optimization in location, operations and technology.
• Manage relationships, risk and financials of distribution partners, suppliers and 3PLs including onboarding of new partners.
• Develop and maintain KPIs to drive continuous improvement in transportation, on-time delivery, and cost management.
• Negotiate distribution contracts with partners and services in collaboration with procurement.
• Support P&L by optimizing storage and transport costs and budgeting.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering and operations to drive advanced tech for efficient product movement.
