Job summary

Carmeuse North America is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support outbound materials movement across the Lake Erie region and Northern Virginia. You will coordinate orders, dispatch trucks, manage SAP sales and shipment orders, and build relationships with carrier partners to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires 3–5 years in transportation or logistics, SAP experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel ~10–15%. Seasonal peaks may extend hours.

Qualifications

• Degree in related field preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in transportation and/or logistics.
• Seasonal demands may include longer hours during peak periods.
• Strong analytical skills.
• SAP experience desired.
• Ability for periodic travel ~10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer orders and dispatch transportation resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Create, update, and manage SAP sales and shipment orders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with transportation providers and onboard new carriers.
• Oversee the freight payment process including invoicing reconciliation.
• Improve yard operations through collaboration with Sales, Operations, and transport partners.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and costs.
• Monitor daily transportation activity and resolve service issues.
• Support cost-effective transportation strategies balancing demand and freight costs.
