Job summary

Carmeuse North America, based in Virginia, seeks an experienced Buyer to optimize procurement for daily operations at assigned locations.

You will source materials, manage SAP purchasing documents, and coordinate with site requisitioners, storeroom staff and Accounting to align deliveries and resolve invoicing issues.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial manufacturing procurement, SAP experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Purchasing Certification preferred.
• 3+ years of buyer experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure parts and services at assigned locations.
• Obtain materials at best cost per Total Cost of Ownership principles.
• Respond to emergency supply situations.
• Prepare SAP purchasing documents and ensure accuracy of requirements.
• Verify vendor receipt confirmations and maintain vendor communications.
• Prepare regular purchasing reports.
• Reconcile invoicing discrepancies with Accounting and Operations.
• Maintain material and vendor masters.
• Seek process improvements to streamline work.
