Job summary

Quirch Foods is seeking a Transportation Logistics Specialist to plan and coordinate delivery operations, manage fleets, route optimization, and scheduling. You will monitor costs, negotiate with carriers, and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in logistics or related field and 3+ years in transport logistics, preferably in food distribution or manufacturing. Strong TMS know-how and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of transport logistics experience, preferably in food distribution or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and logistics software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to transportation and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation logistics, including fleet management, routing, and scheduling of deliveries.
• Monitor transportation costs, negotiate contracts with carriers, and manage vendor relationships.
• Track shipment progress and resolve any issues that arise during transportation.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
