Job summary

Sara Lee Frozen Bakery is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager to oversee third party logistics, production planning, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, distribution and transportation. You will drive safety, quality and productivity while meeting business objectives.

You will partner with Supply Chain, Warehouse and Customer Service to ensure OTIF deliveries, optimize costs and maintain inventory accuracy across the SLFB network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred and relevant job experience is required.
• Experience in Food and Beverage, preferably Frozen/Refrigerated.
• Experience in Pool Consolidation Programs.
• Knowledge of Food Service and Retail Customer expectations.
• Experience in managing a Warehouse/Distribution Center.
• Experience in freight and warehouse contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Experience in managing multiple 3PLs.
• Experience in network modeling and design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to manage multiple priorities daily.
• Start-up experience would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Manage Third Party Logistic Providers to ensure OTIF shipments.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ship.
• Manage and maintain all shipping paperwork and data.
• Develop a budget and reduce shipping costs.
• Develop continuous improvement/productivity initiatives.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy across SLFB network.
• Source and implement transportation and warehouse providers.
• Lead carrier partnerships to ensure assets and pickup schedules.
• Ensure shipments are ready for pickup by cut-off times.
