Job summary

The Los Angeles, CA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Business Development Manager to advance the firm’s litigation practices. The role collaborates with practice leaders to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen market positioning and drive growth.

Focus areas include Complex Business & Commercial Litigation and promoting the National Trial Team; requires at least five years in a similar role, a bachelor’s degree, and strong project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in a similar role in a law firm or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or related field.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
• Creative research, writing, proofreading and data entry skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; InDesign a plus; understanding of U.S. litigation terminology.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and pursue new business development opportunities, coordinate attorney teams, lead pitch efforts, and manage opportunities from concept to submission.
• Lead the development of pitches, proposals, RFP responses, and presentations.
• Conduct client, prospect, and market research to position the firm to win new business.
• Support integration of lateral hires into the firm.
