Job summary

Fenwick & West seeks associates with 3–6 years of licensing/collaboration and commercial partnering transactions experience for its life sciences technology transactions practice.

The ideal candidate will have substantial law firm experience representing biotechs and big pharma as they license patents and collaborate to advance therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, and digital health technologies through clinical trials toward FDA approval.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years licensing/collaboration and commercial partnering experience.
• Experience representing biotechs and big pharma in patent licensing and collaboration.
• Bar admission in the state of the office or eligibility to sit/waive into the next bar exam.
• AI biotech exposure is a plus.
• Superior academic credentials and strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate complex standalone commercial transactions that transform technologies and participants.
• Work closely with founders developing cutting edge technologies.
• Provide legal guidance through clinical trials and regulatory pathways (FDA).
