Job summary

Bio-Techne is seeking a procurement professional to handle direct and indirect purchasing, supplier management, and cost-saving initiatives. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication with suppliers, and alignment with purchasing strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring 2–5 years of purchasing experience, familiarity with FDA QSR/ISO standards, and the ability to forecast demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This is an on-site US-based role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years purchasing experience.
• AA degree or some college preferred.
• Experience in medical/diagnostic/biotechnology production setting strongly preferred.
• Able to comply with policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Experience purchasing reagents, chemicals and laboratory products.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials, lab supplies, scientific equipment and services based on usage and inventory.
• Maintain high accuracy and communicate clearly with suppliers and internal customers.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for competitive advantage.
• Coordinate with internal team and vendors to ensure timely delivery and inventory levels.
• Forecast demand with planning to determine appropriate inventory levels of raw materials.
• Monitor inventory using min/max and reorder reports; manage BPO processing.
• Support project managers by acquiring materials for new customers.
