Job summary

Bio-Techne Corp is seeking a Buyer to procure goods and services for our organization, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to fulfill procurement requirements and maintain positive vendor relationships.

The role requires 1–3 years in purchasing or supply chain, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks. A relevant degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
• Proficient with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and solicit quotes from vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Place purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address quality or delivery issues.
• Maintain records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
• Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in vendor selection and development processes.
• Support cost control and budget adherence.
• Prepare procurement reports as required by management.
