Job summary

The University of Vermont Libraries seeks a Communications Coordinator to lead strategic communications and marketing efforts, aligning messaging with library values, priorities, and initiatives. This role collaborates with the Director of Outreach and Policy to serve as the primary communications liaison for the Libraries.

Responsibilities include developing high-impact content, coordinating internal and external communications, supporting the Dean, and managing calendars and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field required.
• Strong written, oral and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital media environments and up to 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in strategic and tactical communications (print and digital).
• Proven ability to prioritize equity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Represent the libraries to other campus communicators.
• Develop new and smart ways to represent the libraries’ resources and services to audiences.
• Manage the development of all communications assets and use campus-wide channels for distribution.
• Coordinate off-campus publications as needed.
• Support the dean with special communications and office travel/events.
• Oversee meetings and agendas for the dean and related staff.
