Job summary

Akerman LLP is seeking a Legal Recruiter to drive strategic recruitment across targeted markets and build robust pipelines of attorney and legal professionals. You will partner with the Chief Talent Officer and firm leadership to align hiring priorities with business goals, conducting proactive outreach and coordinating interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of recruiting, executive search, legal recruiting, sales, business development, or professional services experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and AI/research tools.
• Experience with recruiting databases, applicant tracking systems, or candidate relationship management tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with firm leadership to understand hiring priorities and recruiting needs.
• Build target candidate lists and research prospective attorney and legal professionals.
• Conduct proactive outreach to candidates and assess interest in opportunities.
• Develop long-term talent pipelines and cultivate relationships with candidates.
• Coordinate meetings and interviews between candidates and firm stakeholders.
• Maintain recruiting databases, track progress, and provide status updates.
