Job summary

Akerman LLP is seeking a Legal Recruiter to support strategic recruitment initiatives in targeted markets. You will identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with legal talent, partnering with the Chief Talent Officer and leadership to build candidate pipelines, coordinate interviews, and track activity.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of recruiting experience, strong communication skills, and a proactive outreach approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of recruiting, executive search, legal recruiting, or related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident in proactive outreach and cold calling.
• Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building with candidates and stakeholders.
• Experience maintaining recruiting databases or applicant tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to understand hiring priorities and recruiting needs.
• Build target candidate lists based on practice group criteria.
• Identify prospective attorney and legal candidates in designated markets.
• Conduct cold outreach to prospective candidates and assess interest.
• Develop relationships to build long-term talent pipelines.
• Coordinate meetings between candidates and Akerman professionals.
• Maintain recruiting databases, target lists, and status reports.
• Provide updates to firm leadership on progress and market intelligence.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication.
