Job summary

Akerman seeks a Legal Recruiter to support strategic recruitment by identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with legal talent in targeted markets. This role partners with the Chief Talent Officer and firm leadership to develop candidate pipelines, coordinate meetings and interviews, and track recruitment activity for current and future hiring needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5+ years of recruiting, executive search, legal recruiting, sales or professional services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with proactive outreach ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AI/research tools to build target lists.
• Experience maintaining recruiting databases or ATS.

Responsibilities

• Partner with firm leadership to understand strategic hiring priorities.
• Build and develop target candidate lists and conduct cold outreach.
• Coordinate meetings and interviews with Akerman attorneys and stakeholders.
• Maintain recruiting databases, candidate tracking and reports.
• Develop market intelligence and support talent acquisition initiatives.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication.
• Support administrative tasks and special recruiting projects.
