Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking a Legal Research Analyst to deliver expert research support across the Firm’s matters. The role partners with attorneys and staff to translate complex inquiries into precise, actionable answers while managing a varied caseload with autonomy.

The Analyst contributes to knowledge management, pilots new tools, builds durable resources, and trains colleagues to work smarter in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BA, MLS and/or JD strongly preferred; 5+ years of progressive legal reference and research experience.
• Proficient across a wide range of legal research databases and software programs.
• Strong communication and research reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert research and reference support to attorneys, paralegals, and staff using the Firm's databases.
• Manage full lifecycle of research requests and document findings in the Firm's research queue.
• Develop and deliver training materials and resources to improve firmwide research fluency.
• Collaborate across departments to pilot new research tools and contribute to strategy for research technology.
