Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking a Legal Research Analyst to serve as an expert resource at the intersection of legal knowledge and client service. You will translate complex research questions into precise answers, partner with attorneys and staff, and lead the adoption of new research tools.

The role sits in the Client Solutions and Innovation Group and reports to the Director of Knowledge Management and Research.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of progressive legal reference and research experience.
Mastery of the legal materials and databases across practice areas and jurisdictions.
Proficiency with a wide range of legal research databases and software.

Responsibilities

Deliver efficient, effective, and reliable expert research and reference support to attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative departments.
Own the full lifecycle of reference inquiries, including self-assigning requests and recording research results.
Apply proficient legal research to resolve complex, high-stakes questions across jurisdictions.
Produce content on industry topics to inform attorneys and clients; build current awareness newsletters and tracking.
Instruct attorneys and staff on best use of research materials, create user guides and training resources.
Maintain up-to-date research resources across practice groups and reflect changes.
