Job summary
K&L Gates seeks a Legal Project Manager to join the Matter Planning team. The role collaborates with legal teams to manage high-priority matters, budgeting, planning, and process improvement across the lifecycle of matters. You will help develop firmwide training on legal project management and support cross-functional initiatives.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in law, consulting, or project management, and experience with Excel/SharePoint. A Master’s or JD is preferred.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years in law, consulting, or project management.
- Master’s degree or J.D. preferred.
- Experience in a legal services environment is strongly preferred and translate PM methods to a legal setting.
- Formal PM certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilize PM techniques to manage matters across scoping, budgeting, planning, and evaluation.
- Provide on-demand support during project lifecycle phases as needed.
- Embed with legal teams to understand needs and drive solutions.
- Budget matters by reviewing historical data with Matter Planning Analysts.
- Develop and deploy firmwide training on Legal Project Management and related tech.
