Job summary

K&L Gates, a leading global law firm, seeks a Legal Project Manager to collaborate with legal teams on high‑priority matters from initiation through evaluation. You will work with analysts on budgeting, pricing and process improvements, and contribute to firmwide training in legal project management.

This role sits on the Matter Planning team and emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in law, consulting, or PM, and preferably a Master’s or JD, with experience

Qualifications

5+ years within law, consulting, or project management.
Master’s degree or JD preferred.
Experience in a legal services environment; translate PM to a legal setting.

Responsibilities

Utilize PM techniques to manage matters through all stages from scoping to evaluation.
Provide on-demand support during specific lifecycle phases.
embedded with the legal team to understand needs and drive solutions.
Budget matters by reviewing historical data with Matter Planning Analysts.
Collaborate with leadership and HR on resource allocation and development.
Develop and deploy firmwide training on Legal Project Management.
