Job summary

General Mills is seeking a Manager, Leadership Recruiting & Strategic Search in Minneapolis to lead Director-level searches and act as a strategic talent advisor to senior leaders. You will drive end-to-end recruiting, craft market-informed strategies, and partner with HR to align talent with business priorities.

The role requires extensive experience in executive search, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to influence decisions in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive recruiting, executive search, talent acquisition, and/or related HR experience.
• Experience recruiting Director-level or senior leadership talent.
• Experience leading complex, consultative searches from intake through offer and transition.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and build credibility with executives and HR partners.
• Strong sourcing, interviewing, assessment, stakeholder management, and offer negotiation skills.
• Experience managing confidential searches and sensitive candidate information.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead Director-level recruiting and strategic searches across the organization.
• Develop and execute tailored search strategies for complex, confidential leadership roles.
• Partner with senior leaders and HR to clarify business needs and success measures.
• Build diverse candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing and external partners when appropriate.
• Assess candidates against defined requirements, leadership capabilities, and cultural contribution.
• Provide informed recommendations and manage risks and market realities.
• Coach leaders on interviewing and bias disruption; lead review and decision discussions.
