Job summary

University of Southern California seeks a Philanthropy Officer for Leadership Annual Giving to manage and grow a portfolio of individual donors and prospects capable of multi-year commitments in support of USC Arcadia Hospital’s mission.

You will partner with clinicians, volunteers, and foundation colleagues to cultivate meaningful philanthropy, build authentic donor relationships, and connect donors to the impact of their gifts on patient care and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in philanthropy, business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field.
• 3–5 years fundraising experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or educational setting.
• Preferred experience: healthcare philanthropy and Grateful Patient Program or similar initiative.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of leadership donors and prospects.
• Achieve fundraising and engagement metrics with leadership donors.
• Develop personalized engagement plans for donors and steward ongoing relationships.
• Collaborate with CPO, hospital executives, physicians, and board members.
• Coordinate donor outreach strategies for gratitude and philanthropy initiatives.
• Represent the Foundation at internal and external events and meetings.
