Job summary

Arcadia University in Glenside, PA seeks a Senior Major Gifts Officer to expand philanthropy and secure transformative investments of $25,000 and above. This strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser will oversee the full major gift cycle and partner with alumni, families, and supporters to advance Arcadia 2030.

Responsibilities include managing a 150-donor portfolio, developing tailored engagement strategies, soliciting gifts, and collaborating with University Advancement and Athletics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in major gift fundraising, preferably in higher education.
• Proven track record of cultivating and securing five-figure gifts and above.
• Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently for donor engagement and events.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Raiser’s Edge or similar database systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a strategic portfolio of approximately 150 current and prospective donors, with responsibility for the full donor engagement cycle.
• Develop and execute individualized engagement and solicitation strategies for assigned prospects.
• Secure major gifts of $25,000 and above, including both current-use and multi-year commitments.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified major gift prospects across programs, including Athletics.
• Collaborate with University Advancement and Athletics leadership to align priorities and maximize donor impact.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of donor interactions, strategies, proposals, and next steps in the CRM.
