Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a senior leader to set and execute an enterprise financial planning strategy across channels and client segments. You will build a holistic, protection-first planning model integrating insurance, retirement, investments, and wealth management.

You will lead a team, drive scalable planning solutions for complex client needs, and partner across distribution, product, and compliance to optimize client outcomes and advisor productivity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in financial services, wealth management or related field with significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading planning or advice strategy within an insurance, investment, or wealth management organization.
• Experience supporting complex high-net-worth needs and building scalable models for multiple client/advisor segments.
• Deep understanding of how life insurance, annuities, retirement, investments, and protection work together in a holistic plan.
• Knowledge of advanced planning concepts and translating complex information into client- and advisor-friendly solutions.
• Experience using technology, data, and performance measures to improve planning quality and outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders across distribution, product, operations, technology, marketing, legal, and compliance.
• Strong business acumen, integrity, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise planning strategy, governance, workflows, and platforms for efficient, scalable execution.
• Lead the evolution of planning capabilities and digital tools to improve advisor productivity and client engagement.
• Develop and integrate advanced planning solutions for HNW and UHNW clients across segments.
• Drive thought leadership, case design, and collaboration with product, distribution, and partners.
• Align analytics and business teams to define metrics for plan utilization, adoption, and revenue impact.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team and communicate strategy to senior stakeholders.
