Job summary

Clarivate seeks a Senior Director, Cyber Security to lead enterprise-wide cyber security strategy, strengthen security operations, and help protect systems, products, data, and customers in healthcare, life sciences, and regulated environments.

The role partners with Technology, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to advance a risk-based program and improve control maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in cyber security within healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments.
• 5+ years leading cyber security teams, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with GxP, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, data integrity principles.
• Experience defining and executing enterprise cyber security strategy and operating models.
• Experience overseeing security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat monitoring, or cyber risk management.
• Working knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Controls.
• Ability translating cyber risk and metrics to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the cyber security strategy, roadmap, and operating model to reduce enterprise risk.
• Lead cyber security programs across security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Partner with Technology, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and business leaders to embed security requirements into products and processes.
• Oversee monitoring, escalation, investigation, and response for security incidents with internal and external partners.
• Drive improvement of controls, policies, standards, and reporting aligned to frameworks.
• Evaluate threats, identify gaps, and prioritize remediation with technology and product teams.
• Support audit, certification, customer assurance, and regulatory activities with measurable practices.
• Develop and lead a high-performing cyber security team with coaching and prioritization.
• Communicate cyber risk and program performance to executive leadership.
