Job summary

Clarivate is seeking a Senior Director, Cyber Security to lead enterprise-wide strategy, strengthen security operations, and protect systems, data, and customers across regulated environments.

The role partners with Technology, Product, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to advance risk-based security programs, improve control maturity, and ensure resilience of the Life Science business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in cyber security within highly regulated environments such as healthcare or life sciences.
• 5+ years leading cyber security teams, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Familiarity with healthcare and life sciences requirements (GxP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA).
• Experience defining and executing enterprise cyber security strategy, roadmaps, controls, and operating models.
• Experience overseeing security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and risk management.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, CIS Controls, or similar frameworks.
• Ability to translate cyber risk and security metrics into clear executive guidance.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the cyber security strategy, roadmap, and operating model to reduce enterprise risk.
• Lead cyber security programs across security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Embed security requirements into products, platforms, processes, and vendor relationships in partnership with leaders.
• Oversee monitoring, escalation, investigation, and response to security incidents.
• Drive improvements in controls, policies, and security metrics to meet internal and external requirements.
• Communicate cyber risk and program performance to executives and stakeholders.
