Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a County Mental Health Program Director to shape community programs and mentor staff. You will promote clinical practice, ensure services are consistent and accessible, and guide program development across the MH/ID system.

You will supervise teams, coordinate staffing processes, and lead treatment teams to deliver best-practice care while aligning with state policies and residency requirements.

Qualifications

• One year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 2; or
• Five years of professional level experience in mental health, including three years of administrative, supervisory, or consultative work; and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Staff Leadership: Direct supervision of program staff and administrative personnel.
• Hiring Support: Coordinate recruitment and hiring processes for staff at all levels.
• Program Guidance: Ensure a clinical approach and implement best practices.
• Case Review: Approve case management assignments for appropriate care levels.
• Crisis Oversight: Monitor case management and crisis services for support.
• Team Participation: Serve on treatment teams and provide clinical guidance.
