Job summary

Phoenix Charter Academy is seeking a Managing Director of Correctional Education & Organization Growth to launch and scale its prison education initiative as a statewide network priority. The role begins with a 25-student pilot at Hampden County House of Corrections, working daily inside the facility to design, budget, staff, and coordinate partners.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of secondary education, alternative education, postsecondary pathways, youth development, or a closely related field.
• Exceptional project management, communication, relationship building, and cross functional leadership skills.
• Experience launching or transforming complex programs across multiple organizations or systems.
• Experience using data for improvement and decision making; ability to partner effectively with evaluators, researchers, or public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Pilot launch and operational leadership for the Hampden County pilot, including design, budgeting, staffing, timelines, and risk management.
• Establish procedures for recruitment, enrollment, records, scheduling, safety, and communication.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with campus leaders, state partners, and correctional facilities to ensure seamless operations.
