Job summary

Global Kids is seeking a full-time Community School Director at DeWitt Clinton High School in New York, NY. The role coordinates attendance interventions, parent engagement, college and career prep, social and emotional wellness, and outreach to maximize student success within the community school model.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, familiarity with NYC schools, and a commitment to collaborative, data-informed program management to support thousands of youth and educators

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or 5 years of professional experience preferred.
• Experience with NYC Department of Education policies and school-based settings.
• Ability to collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and partners.
• Knowledge of community schools, youth development, and antiracist practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate school and community activities with principal and partners.
• Maintain records and ensure data entry in databases and systems.
• Oversee attendance, family engagement, and student supports.
• Lead staff supervision, time sheets, and program quality reviews.
• Organize events and manage day-to-day program operations.
