Job summary

The University of New Hampshire, located in Durham, seeks a Sr. Manager for Classroom Technology to lead systemwide AV and learning-space support across the University System of New Hampshire.

This role aligns technology services with academic priorities and institutional goals, traveling to campuses as needed. Based at the Durham campus, the position provides direction to technical teams, coordinates with campus leads, vendors, and stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement in classroom

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, information technology, instructional design, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in educational technology, audiovisual services, instructional support, or IT management, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Relevant professional credentials, such as ITIL V4., and AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), are preferred.
  • Incumbent will be required to complete the AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), within 6 months of hire date.
  • Valid Driver’s license and the ability to pass the USNH Defensive Driving Test to drive University owned vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and planning for classroom technology, AV systems, and learning spaces across USNH.
  • Coordinate and support campus-based AV field staff and stakeholders, ensuring consistent service delivery and escalation paths.
  • Oversee planning, design, installation, and lifecycle management of learning spaces and event spaces with accessibility and safety considerations.
  • Supervise Special Events Technician and provide AV consultation and operational oversight for major events across USNH.
