Job summary

UMass Amherst is seeking an Assistant CTO for Audiovisual & Digital Experience Services in Amherst. The role leads strategy, design, delivery, and lifecycle management of the university's enterprise AV and digital experience ecosystem, including classrooms, events, media systems, and collaboration platforms.

You will partner with academic leadership and Facilities to align services with campus priorities, balancing strategic initiatives with operational accountability and guiding major

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7 years related experience.
• Associate's degree with 9 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license for operation of University Motor Vehicle.
• Experience acting as an owner's representative on large-scale AV projects.
• Experience leading inter-disciplinary AV teams across multiple functions.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute a comprehensive AV/digital experience strategy and multi-year roadmaps.
• Lead classroom technology design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee enterprise AV services for events, venues, and programs.
• Manage third-party vendors, integrators, and service providers to meet needs.
• Lead media systems, collaboration platforms, and digital accessibility initiatives.
• Implement service delivery frameworks with SLAs, KPIs, and governance.
