Job summary

University System of New Hampshire, based out of the Durham campus, seeks a Sr. Manager to lead systemwide classroom technology, audiovisual systems, and learning-space support.

You will travel to multiple campuses to mentor teams, coordinate vendors, and oversee major projects ensuring reliable, sustainable technology that supports teaching, learning, and events. The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-campus collaboration, and continuous improvement in classroom and event technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in educational technology, information technology, instructional design, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in educational technology, audiovisual services, instructional support, or IT management, preferably in higher education.
• Relevant professional credentials such as ITIL V4 and AVIXA CTS preferred.
• Incumbent will be required to complete the AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) within 6 months of hire date.
• Knowledge of audiovisual system design, large event support, network infrastructure, and privacy/compliance requirements (ADA, FERPA, HIPAA).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills, including translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Planning: develop and implement long-range classroom technology strategies aligned with priorities; manage budget planning and lifecycle management across USNH.
• Distributed Field Support: coordinate campus-based AV leads and technicians to ensure consistent service delivery and escalation paths.
• AV and Space Management: oversee planning, design, installation, and lifecycle management of learning spaces and event spaces across campuses.
• Special Event Support: supervise events’ AV planning, testing, and day-of-support for high-visibility institutional events.
