Job summary

Gee Automotive Companies is seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager of Centralized Accounting to lead centralized accounting operations in Milwaukie, Oregon. You will drive standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement while partnering with dealer and corporate leadership.

Lead and develop a high-performing team across multiple dealerships, oversee the month-end close, strengthen internal controls, and support integration of newly acquired stores. Travel to locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of automotive dealership accounting operations and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-store month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to establish policies and drive process improvements.
• Experience leading accounting managers and teams across locations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Centralized Accounting team across multiple stores.
• Maintain accounting processes, policies, and internal controls.
• Set performance expectations and training programs for staff.
• Oversee the centralized month-end close and ensure timely reporting.
• Monitor reconciliations, aging, and close targets; review key balance sheet accounts.
• Partner with Controllers, GMs, and executives to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Drive standardization, automation, and efficiency across accounting functions.
• Support integration of newly acquired dealerships and regulatory reporting.
