Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston Seaport is seeking a Senior Director, Process Development for CGT Drug Product. You will set strategy for formulation, cryopreservation, fill/finish and administration-ready product presentation, guiding programs from early development to commercialization.

The role requires deep autologous and allogeneic cell therapy drug product experience, aseptic processing, technology transfer, and leadership across MSAT, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with commensurate education and experience.
• Extensive experience in cell therapy drug product process development.
• Experience with autologous and allogeneic cell therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, scientific leadership for drug product process development across autologous and allogeneic programs.
• Establish integrated development strategy from early clinical to commercialization.
• Lead formulation, cryopreservation, fill/finish, and administration-ready product development.
• Oversee technology transfer to GMP facilities and external partners.
• Collaborate with MSAT, Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing to ensure compliant CMC strategies.
