Job summary

The Texas Water Company is seeking a Sr Director of Engineering to lead planning, design, and construction for water infrastructure and capital improvement programs. You will drive on-time, on-budget delivery, set engineering standards, manage budgets, and coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.

You will oversee multiple engineering teams, develop capital plans, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while advancing performance and asset reliability across our system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering leadership.
• PE license required; PMP or other certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and permitting.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, and vendor management.
• Ability to lead multiple teams and complex capital programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure and capital improvement programs.
• Directs multiple engineering teams and leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversees budgeting, governance, and performance metrics for engineering programs.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality controls across projects.
• Represents the department in stakeholder engagements and regulatory hearings.
• Leads continuous improvement initiatives and staff development.
