Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison seeks an Assistant Director for Student Wellness to lead school-wide strategies that promote student well‑being across SMPH’s five health professions programs and statewide sites. You will develop, implement, and assess programs, resources, and partnerships to improve student success.

Reporting to the Director of Student Services, this role supervises staff, coordinates resources, and aligns initiatives with accreditation expectations while strengthening

Qualifications

• Experience developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating student‑facing university‑level programs or initiatives.
• Supervision of staff or leading professional work groups.
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.

Responsibilities

• May monitor the program budget and approve expenditures
• Evaluates and promotes short and long term existing strategies and makes recommendations for program enhancement
• Identifies, develops, and facilitates unit staff training opportunities
• Exercises supervisory authority over at least 2.0 FTE employees
• Serve as primary liaison to Kern National Network related to grant funding
• Answers questions and provides information regarding student affairs resources
• Contributes to the design of student‑focused programs and resources
• Develops and directs staff implementation and operational work plans
