Job summary

The role involves defining architecture roadmaps, vendor governance, disaster recovery, and ensuring service quality across on-premises and cloud-integrated platforms, with a focus on data stewardship and secure research environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in a related field such as computer science, information science, data science, or business administration.
• 8+ years of IT leadership experience, managing storage infrastructure, research computing environments, or large-scale data platforms.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors and budgets, and oversee critical research data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the roadmap for centralized research storage platforms (high-performance file systems, object storage, archival storage, cloud-integrated storage).
• Lead governance and architecture planning for AI, ML, and HPC workflows; evaluate new technologies and vendor solutions.
• Ensure reliable operation of storage services, establish SLAs, capacity forecasts, and performance benchmarks; lead incident response and continuous service improvement.
