Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital seeks an experienced Senior Manager to lead the research storage and data infrastructure. You will guide a team delivering scalable, secure data platforms for HPC, AI, and genomics, with cloud integration, data protection, and disaster recovery.

You will partner with RIS leadership and researchers to align storage with scientific goals. Responsibilities include strategy, operations, vendor governance, data governance, and continuity planning.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, computer science, data science, information science or related field.
8+ years of progressive IT experience with experience managing small/mid-size teams and storage infrastructure.
Experience leading complex storage projects with vendors and budgets.
3+ years in supervisory/leadership capacity.
Proven performance in earlier role/comparable role.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage the roadmap for centralized research storage platforms including HPC and AI workloads.
Ensure reliable operation of storage services, establish SLAs, capacity forecasts and performance benchmarks.
Lead vendor governance, architecture planning, and service performance assessments.
Align storage services with data governance, retention, and lifecycle management goals.
Lead disaster recovery and cyber resilience planning and testing.
Mentor and develop storage engineers and ensure cross-team collaboration.
