Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Research Storage & Data Infrastructure within RIS to lead the storage strategy, architecture, and high-performance computing support for world-class biomedical research.

You will guide platforms for active research storage, archival and cloud-integrated storage, and data protection services. Partner with researchers, data stewards, and security teams to ensure governance, resilience, and scalable data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IT experience with storage infrastructure, research computing environments, or large-scale data platforms.
• Experience leading complex projects and managing vendors/budgets.
• Proven leadership in supervising technical teams or infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the roadmap for centralized research storage platforms including high-performance file systems, object storage, and archival storage.
• Lead architecture planning for AI, ML, and HPC, and coordinate with researchers and stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor governance, service performance reviews, and procurement support.
• Strengthen data governance, archival practices, retention strategies, and disaster recovery capabilities.
