Job summary

Service Employees International Union (SEIU) in Washington, DC, seeks a Deputy Director of Integrated Organizing Communications to provide strategic leadership and manage a team of communications and digital professionals. The role focuses on national campaigns, worker-centered messaging, and cohesive campaign execution.

You will collaborate with the Organizing Hub and Organizing Narrative teams, translating organizing goals into amplified communications plans.

Qualifications

• Seven to eight years of related work experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of unions and advocacy organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of cohesive worker-centered communications and digital strategy.
• Oversee a team of communications and digital practitioners with at least three direct reports.
• Collaborate with Organizing Hub staff to drive engagement and tell a unified story across campaigns.
• Plan, budget, and coordinate projects across divisions and campaign leaders.
• Develop staff through training, feedback, and career development.
• Travel frequently and manage multiple priority projects with deadlines.
