Job summary

S.J. Amoroso Construction Co., LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead complex public works pursuits and manage bid strategy and risk with the Chief Estimator.

You will work with executive leadership and a broad subcontractor network across California to deliver well-supported estimates on major projects. Ideal candidate has seven-plus years in construction estimating, with a track record of $20M–$100M projects, plus proficiency in ProEst, BuildingConnected and related tools, and

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of construction estimating experience, with strong public works background.
• Experience leading complete estimates for projects typically ranging from $20 million to $100 million.
• Strong verbal, written, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned estimates from review through bid submission and turnover.
• Deliver complete, accurate estimates within deadlines.
• Review plans, specs, addenda, and owner requirements to identify gaps and risks.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and related pricing.
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages for all trades.
• Lead subcontractor bid solicitation and evaluate proposals.
• Mentor estimators and improve department standards.
