Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Lead Project Manager – Environmental Planning to guide complex projects from initial planning and permitting through construction across the Gulf Coast and Southeast region.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, ensure ESA/NEPA/CWA compliance, mentor staff, and maintain strong client relationships while coordinating with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a consulting environment.
• Experience with project budgets, forecasting, invoicing.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Strategically lead complex environmental planning projects.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and QA/QC of deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and assist NEPA/FERC/BLM processes.
