Job summary

Mayer Brown in Charlotte, NC seeks a Manager: Student Recruitment to lead the full lifecycle of law student and clerk recruitment across Charlotte and DC. You will partner with firm leadership, hiring partners, and cross-functional teams to attract top candidates and strengthen the firm’s employer brand.

You will design and manage summer programs, coordinate onboarding, training, and evaluations, and ensure seamless execution of recruitment initiatives nationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of three years of law firm recruiting experience or five years in a professional services firm recruiting role.
• Deep knowledge of law firm student recruiting processes and lifecycle.
• Experience managing summer programs and familiarity with ATS tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end recruitment for entry-level associates, summer associates, judicial law clerks, and transactional fellows.
• Develop innovative hiring strategies with partners and recruiters, including US-wide initiatives.
• Engage with top law schools; organize on-campus events and interviews.
• Design and manage summer programs in Charlotte and DC, including onboarding and evaluations.
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance employer branding and monitor metrics.
