Job summary

H2O Recruitment & Training Services Ltd seeks an experienced Development Surveyor to join its strategic land team in the Midlands. The role covers strategic land, development agreements, land sales, valuation and planning, with autonomy to influence the growth of the development team.

The ideal candidate holds MRICS or a Town Planning qualification, with proven experience in strategic land transactions, strong negotiation and client-management skills, and the ability to drive opportunities

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification or Town Planning qualification.
• Demonstrable experience in strategic land, development transactions and land sales.
• Experience negotiating Option, Promotion, Hybrid or similar development agreements.
• Strong understanding of the Midlands property and development market.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
• The ability to develop client relationships and generate new instructions.
• Strong analytical, research and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Confidence managing multiple transactions and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and client-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Land & Development Agreements: identify and secure land with strategic residential and commercial potential; negotiate heads of terms; manage agreements through legal processes; monitor lifecycle and communications.
• Development Land Sales & Disposal: market sites, manage marketing and disposal processes, negotiate prices, liaise with legal advisers; track local plans and SHLAA submissions.
• Valuation & Technical: undertake valuations, apply overage provisions, provide commercial advice to landowners and clients.
