Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to coordinate and assist in acquiring and developing real estate into residential communities in the Minneapolis market. A base salary ranges from $100,000 to $180,000 per year, with potential annual bonus at management discretion.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering, 3–5 years of acquisitions experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of real estate acquisitions experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record is required.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sources and acquires land for the development of communities in the Minneapolis Market.
• Prepares land acquisition packages for presentation and corporate approval.
• Performs project underwriting and generates letters of intent (LOI’s).
• Assists in the land entitlement process.
• Maintains property contact listings and builder/developer connections for available lots.
• Assists in evaluation and inspection of potential land.
• Monitors inventory of excess lots and analyzes market trends.
• Generates Competitive Market Analysis (CMA) regularly.
• Meets with sellers, engineers, planners, municipalities, and agencies as required.
• Supports special projects as needed.
