Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager to coordinate the acquisition and development of land for residential communities in Southwest Florida. You will evaluate properties, perform due diligence, and prepare acquisition packages for corporate approval across counties including Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and South Sarasota.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering with 3–5 years of acquisitions experience and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions (residential a plus).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Sources and acquires land for the development of communities across Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and southern Sarasota counties.
• Generates CMA (Competitive Market Analysis) for each property.
• Monitors inventory of excess lots for sale by others.
• Develops and maintains property contact listings and establishes builder/developer contacts.
• Performs project underwriting and generates LOIs.
• Manages due diligence of land under consideration.
• Meets with sellers, engineers, planners, municipalities and other agencies as required.
• Prepares land acquisition packages for presentation and corporate approval.
• Assists in land entitlement processes.
• Assists with special projects as requested.
