M/I Homes in Indianapolis is seeking a seasoned land acquisition leader to drive acquisition for residential subdivisions. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners, structure complex deals, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy in key markets.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, due diligence, and underwriting support to secure prime land opportunities while managing risk and timelines. Strong negotiation and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with 5–10 years in land acquisition or development.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills for complex deals.
• Experience coordinating with multiple internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop land acquisition managers and drive the land acquisition process for subdivision development.
• Assist negotiations with sellers, brokers, developers, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Structure purchase agreements, options, takedowns, and joint ventures as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Land Development, Finance, Sales, Construction, Operations, Marketing, Legal, and Executives.
• Perform market analysis and support long term land strategy and due diligence.
