Job summary

DRB Homes in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Land Acquisition Director to drive the division's land and lot strategy. You will identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and acquire properties to support long-range growth while building strong relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, and internal partners.

You will coordinate with Entitlements, engineers, planners, and officials to secure approvals, perform due diligence, analyze proformas, and maintain market insights to keep the division

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum 5 years’ experience within homebuilding with Land & Entitlement focus.
• Exposure to residential homebuilding or land development is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and contract skills.
• Ability to lead people and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of local, county, state and federal land use regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for land and lot acquisition.
• Negotiate and acquire land and lots to meet company goals and projections; prospect for opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with land developers and brokers.
• Draft LOIs and negotiate final contracts for acquisitions.
• Maintain reports, target dates, and market analysis; coordinate with Entitlements group during due diligence.
• Assist regulators and officials to secure project approvals.
