Job summary

DRB Homes in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a leader to plan and direct division land acquisitions, planning, entitlement and development, while maintaining strong communications with public agencies and staff. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and minimum 7 years experience within the homebuilding industry with concentration in Land & Entitlement or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
• Exposure to residential homebuilding or land development environment is required.
• Must lead people and drive results; strong collaboration with engineers, inspectors and officials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the land development function, with strategic objectives and design methodology to achieve company goals.
• Develop annual Land department budgets and schedules; manage costs within budget.
• Lead, develop, and manage land development team; align plans with organizational objectives.
• Prepare bid packages; negotiate land development contracts; oversee site grading, roads, curbs and gutters.
• Coordinate with inspectors and officials to maximize productivity of development sites; monitor progress and report weekly.
