Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Labor Relations professional to support management across multiple corporate departments in labor-related matters. You will manage disputes, negotiate settlements with union representatives, and help draft and interpret labor agreements for assigned groups.

You will also help develop relationships with labor organizations, support grievance processes through arbitration, and travel as needed to support operations across the network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR/IR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years HR/Labor Relations experience.
• 2 years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience or formal training in early dispute resolution strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt and effective support on labor-related issues to management within multiple corporate departments.
• Manages disputes and negotiates resolutions between union representatives and management.
• Negotiates new work rules for organized employee groups.
• Manages the administration and interpretation of labor agreements for assigned work group.
• Provides support for grievance handling up to and including arbitration.
• Develops and maintains responsible relationships with labor organizations representing assigned work group.
• Ability to travel.
