Coppin State University is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to ensure compliance, foster relations, participate in negotiations, and resolve workplace conflicts. The role advises management on CBAs, disputes, and labor practices while balancing organizational goals with employee rights.

The candidate will negotiate and administer labor agreements, develop policies, and oversee supervisory functions within a state university environment. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, or related.
• 5+ years in HR or labor relations.
• 1–3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in employee and labor relations in a unionized environment.
• Experience in higher education is a plus.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.

Responsabilités

• Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and draft contract language.
• Manage labor contracts and communicate terms to employees and management.
• Investigate and resolve workplace disputes, grievances, and complaints.
• Develop and implement labor relations strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Advise management on labor laws and regulatory compliance.
• Foster positive employer-employee relations and mediate conflicts.
• Oversee supervisory goals and budgets.
