Job summary

Strategic Sourcing Analyst in Chaska, MN supports Sales, Solutions Architecture, Engineering, and Service Delivery by designing, pricing, and sourcing materials for opportunities and projects.

The role reviews BOMs, negotiates pricing with OEMs/distributors, and tracks quotes with a focus on margin protection and timely delivery. Strong IT hardware/software channel knowledge and CRM/CPQ proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT product quoting, procurement, distribution, or related channel role.
• Familiar with major cable/connectivity OEMs and national distributors.
• Knowledge of deal registration, SPA, and pricing processes.
• Proven negotiation experience with favorable pricing and terms.
• Strong internal and external relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interpret a BOM into an actionable sourcing plan.
• Experience with quoting/CRM platforms and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical Bills of Materials to determine optimal sourcing strategy per item.
• Solicit, compare, and validate quotes from OEMs, distributors, and channels for competitive total cost.
• Identify substitute products or SKUs when pricing/lead-time constraints arise.
• Evaluate deal registrations, special pricing, rebates, and promotions to protect margins.
• Monitor pricing approvals, quote expirations, cost changes, and renewals through final quote.
• Develop relations with distributors, OEM channels, and strategic supplier partners.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and availability; resolve quote issues and conflicts.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects and Sales Engineers to identify risks and alternatives.
• Manage a high volume of concurrent quotes, prioritizing by urgency and commitments.
• Maintain audit-ready quote records per procurement policies and vendor agreements.
