Job summary

The University of Miami Project Management Office seeks a Senior Project Manager - IT to lead delivery of complex IT initiatives on-site in Coral Gables, FL. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business preferred.
• PM certifications (PMP/PMI-ACP) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant IT project management experience, 5+ years hands-on.
• Experience in matrixed environments and with IT infrastructure, integration, development, and cybersecurity.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects.
• Define scope, schedule, and budget in alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Coordinate IT SMEs, analysts, architects, and developers to translate dependencies into actionable plans.
• Develop detailed project schedules and monitor progress against milestones.
• Identify risks/issues, create mitigation plans, and drive resolution with stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and customers.
